President's Statement

Silver Creek Valley Country Club Homeowner's Association (SCVCCHOA) is one of the largest HOA's in all of California. We have 1550 homeowners. We are located in a hidden valley in the southeastern foothills of San Jose on approximately 1600 acres of land including the Silver Creek Valley Country Club. This scenic valley is dissected by the Silver Creek which helps give the community and country club its name. We have an annual Operating Budget of nearly $1,800,000 of which approximately $300,000 annually goes towards our future reserves. The HOA is run by a volunteer Board of Directors composed of 5 members for 2 to 3 year terms and assisted by our management company and a number of volunteer committees.

The HOA is charged with maintaining the common areas including the streets, sidewalks, landscaping, entry gates, perimeter fences, parks, fountains, waterfalls and other water features. In addition the HOA provides a gated community and enforces the rules and regulations for all of the residents and any guests or invitees. The 30 miles of private streets are patrolled by the San Jose Police Department and the speed limits vary from 15mph to a high of 30 mph on our main arterials. The focal point of the community is the private and beautiful Silver Creek Valley Country Club. This Club offers membership to all of the residents with an 18 hole championship golf course, lighted tennis courts, a complete fitness center, two pools and some of the finest cuisine in all of Silicon Valley.

This beautiful community houses 4,500 to 6,000 residents in a mix of housing ranging from 1,600sf condos to 14,000sf custom homes. The SCVCCHOA residents also reflect a very eclectic group with a mix of almost every race and ethnic culture living in a very harmonious way. Primarily white collared workers make up the majority of residents but we have a number of top level executives and heads of some of Silicon Valley's major companies. There are numerous sports figures and a number of public figures who also live within our gates. All of these residents enjoy the gated community, low level of crime, access to one of the premier Country Clubs, superior schools and nearby shopping.

The HOA attempts to maintain a low keyed but almost resort type of living at the edge of the green belt and open spaces yet very near the heart of Silicon Valley and the center of the high tech industry. Through our management company and the services provided by our landscapers, guards, pest control and numerous vendors we offer the residents a way to enjoy their family lives and the social amenities with minimal hassles.
